Why standard pillows fail

You wouldn't walk around in shoes that are two sizes too big. Yet, most people sleep on pillows that don't match their physical dimensions.

When a pillow is too high or too low, your neck muscles cannot relax completely. This leads to stiffness, nerve pressure, and restless sleep. Pillowise solves this with simple physics: measuring your body to determine the exact height and contour you need for neutral alignment.

The 3 Critical Measurements

Accuracy is non-negotiable here. A "close enough" measurement results in a "close enough" sleep. Do this right.

  • 1. Shoulder Width: Determines height for side sleepers.
  • 2. Neck Circumference: Calculates the natural cervical curve.
  • 3. Neck Height: The distance from shoulder to ear.

How to Measure

Watch the video or follow the text instructions below. It is highly recommended to have someone else measure you.

1. Shoulder Width

Measure the distance from the tip of one shoulder bone (acromion) to the other. Tip: Measure across the curve of the back; do not pull the tape tight in a straight line.

2. Neck Circumference

Measure the full circumference around the middle of your neck. Keep the tape comfortable against the skin, not choking tight.

3. Neck Height

Keep your head upright. Measure the vertical distance from the bottom of your earlobe (or the bone behind it) down to the tip of your shoulder.
